The far west, where the land ends
Finistère lives up to its name — finis terrae, the end of the earth. Our cottage stands above the Iroise Sea, halfway between Brest and Le Conquet, on a stretch of the Léon coast where the light changes by the hour and the GR34, the long-distance coastal trail, runs just a few steps from the door.
Here the horizon opens onto Ouessant and Molène, the lighthouses begin to blink at dusk, and the tides uncover small coves that few people know. Brittany can be green, but its western edge is another story altogether: granite, salt, just enough wind, and the Atlantic light you find only here.

A house that opens to the sea
Designed for family holidays and quiet weeks with close friends, the cottage centres on a bright living room that opens onto the terrace. The enclosed garden shields you from the breeze on sunny afternoons; the barbecue takes over in the evening.
From the terrace, the view runs all the way to the horizon. This is where you take coffee in the morning, where you listen to the gulls calling above the path, and where you watch coastal traffic slip towards the Ushant traffic lane.

The GR34
The coastal trail starts at the end of the garden. West to the Pointe Saint-Mathieu lighthouse; east to the bay of Brest.
Plage de Tregana
One hundred metres from the house, reachable on foot along the coastal path. Golden sand, granite coves, clear water. Many call it the finest beach in the area.
Le Conquet
Working fishing port, morning fish market, ferries to the islands of Ouessant and Molène. A quarter of an hour by car.
Brest
City centre, Océanopolis, Les Capucins, TGV station (3h30 from Paris). Twenty minutes, no traffic to speak of.
